About Prairie Haze Co.

Hello! My name is Lexi Giebelhaus and I am the face behind The Prairie Haze Co. It all began with being a stay at home mom to my crazy little toddler Stetson and wanting to find something I could do at home so I could stay with him and work at the same time. That being said all our products are made to the sound track of cartoons with a toddler running around behind me! The name Prairie Haze came from wanting to name it after my “why” my reason to do it all. But obviously Stetson was out of the question as he was named after the hat company. So we went with his middle name, Haze.

I decided one day while shopping for new wild rags that I was having a hard time finding prints that I liked and ones for kids that I liked for Stetson, so I came home and started searching for fabric that I liked. While looking at fabrics I got the idea of western items for babies as well as just the wild rags as I had such a hard time finding cute western stuff locally made in Canada when Stetson was a baby. So the idea of the shop expanded! I truly look forward to expanding our selection of items as time goes on! The thought of just buying pre-made prints didn’t seem like it was all I wanted to offer to my clients! So, the custom prints and designs are a product I am very excited to have available!

It’s crazy to think that a thought that crossed my mind one random afternoon is finally a reality allowing me to stay home to watch my son grow up and support my family all at the same time!
